ROGENILAN manufactures aluminum gates in Foshan, Guangdong, for residential, villa-community and light-commercial driveways. This page lists the actual numbers buyers ask for before placing a container order: FOB price bands by gate type, 6063-T5/T6 profile data, wind-load and cycle-test results, motor compatibility, MOQ, packing volume and a landed-cost case from a 56-villa project in Melbourne. No marketing adjectives – specifications and prices only.
1. Aluminum Gates Specifications: Profiles and Finishes
6063-T5 / T6 Frame Profiles
Gate frames are extruded from 6063 aluminum billet. T5 temper (air-cooled after extrusion) is used for swing and pedestrian gates; T6 (solution heat-treated, water-quenched) is specified for sliding gate bottom beams and any leaf wider than 4.5 m, where deflection under self-weight becomes the controlling factor. Standard frame section is 80 x 44 mm with 2.5 mm wall; heavy sliding gates use 100 x 50 mm at 3.0 mm wall.

Surface Finishing Lines
Two finishing lines run in-house. Powder coating: AkzoNobel Interpon D1036 polyester, 60-80 um dry film, cured at 200 C for 10 minutes; salt spray 1,000 h per ISO 9227 with no blistering. PVDF (for coastal projects within 500 m of the sea): 2-coat fluoropolymer, 25-35 um, salt spray 3,000 h. Standard colors are RAL 7016 anthracite, RAL 9005 black and wood-grain sublimation; custom RAL adds $4-6 per m2 and 5 days.
Infill Options
Horizontal slats 65 x 16 mm or 90 x 16 mm, 10 mm or 20 mm gaps (privacy vs airflow trade-off)
Vertical louvers at 45 degrees for full privacy with ventilation
Perforated aluminum sheet, 2.0 mm, 30-40% open area
Tempered glass 8 mm or laminated 6+6 mm for see-through designs
WPC composite slats where a timber look is required without maintenance
2. Driveway Gate FOB Price Table
FOB Foshan Pricing by Gate Type
Prices below are FOB Foshan/Guangzhou port, powder-coated finish, standard RAL color, excluding motor and automation. A driveway gate order typically mixes one vehicle gate with one matching pedestrian gate; the pedestrian leaf is priced at 1.15x the vehicle-gate rate per m2 because of the higher hardware ratio.

Wood-grain sublimation finish: +$10-14 per m2
Glass infill 8 mm tempered: +$35-48 per m2 of glass area
Automation kit (motor, photocells, 2 remotes, control board): $180-420 per set FOB
Budget note: gate automation is usually 18-25% of a project total. Buyers comparing quotes should check whether the motor is included; Chinese quotes list the leaf and the kit separately by default.
3. Modern House Gates Design Options
Horizontal Slat Systems
The current volume design for Australia, the US Sun Belt and the Middle East is the horizontal slat gate: 65 x 16 mm or 90 x 16 mm slats clipped into concealed U-channels inside the frame, so no fasteners are visible from the street side. Gap options are 10 mm (semi-privacy), 20 mm (balanced) and 40 mm (open look). Slat gates at 20 mm gap pass roughly 35% free airflow, which matters for wind load – see section 4.
Louver, Perforated and Mixed Designs
Fixed louver at 45 degrees: full privacy from the street, still ventilates; preferred for pool-adjacent properties
Perforated sheet (CNC punched): custom patterns possible, 30-40% open area keeps wind load manageable
Slat + glass mix: slat lower section, tempered glass upper band – common on architect-specified villas
WPC slat insert: timber appearance, no painting cycle, fade warranty 5 years
All infill systems share the same 80 x 44 mm frame, so a buyer can mix designs across a villa community while keeping one extrusion order, one finish batch and one spare-parts list. The same platform logic is used across ROGENILAN door lines – see the sliding and driveway gate specifications for Latin American projects for regional sizing conventions.

For cyclonic regions (Queensland region C/D, Florida HVHZ), specify the slat or louver infill and the T6 bottom beam; a solid glass or sheet gate in a 6 m opening exceeds post capacity at 0.9 kPa and above.
Safety Requirements
Automatic gates ship with photocell pairs and a mechanical release; EN 12453 force-limitation compliance is available on the automation kit
Swing leaves get adjustable bearing hinges rated 400 kg per pair; anti-lift pins on outward-opening leaves
Pedestrian gates can be fitted with magnetic locks and keypad or intercom strikes
Finger-safe slat spacing under 12 mm is available for childcare and school projects
5. Automatic Gate Systems: Motors and Controls
Motor Selection by Gate Weight
An automatic gate is only as reliable as the motor sizing. The rule applied on every quotation: motor rated capacity must be at least 2x the actual leaf weight, and duty cycle at least 30% for community entrances.

Options: GSM/4G module for phone control (+$45), keypad (+$28), intercom integration (+$60), solar panel kit for off-grid (+$150)
Battery backup keeps 30-50 cycles after power loss – standard on 24 V kits
Community projects: loop detectors and safety edges quoted per entrance
For buyers also sourcing entrance doors for the same project, motor control boards and aluminum entrance door smart locks can be consolidated into one access-control shipment.

Cycle and Durability Testing
Sliding gate hardware (rollers, racks, guides) is cycle-tested to 100,000 open-close cycles on the factory rig before a series is released; swing hinges are tested to 200,000 cycles at 1.5x rated load. Motor kits carry a 24-month warranty, frames and finish 10 years on powder coat, 15 years on PVDF. Hurricane-prone regions can cross-reference the shutter-side test data in the plantation shutters and hurricane shutters specification page (ASTM E1886/E1996 context).

Packing and Container Loading
Gates are packed flat: EPE foam between leaves, corner protectors, then a plywood crate. A 4.5 m sliding gate leaf with posts and track occupies about 0.55 m3. Reference loading for a 40HQ container (76 m3 usable):
Gate mix
Approx. sets per 40HQ
Swing driveway sets (3.5 m double leaf + pedestrian)
90-100 sets
Sliding sets (4.5 m leaf + track + posts)
70-80 sets
Cantilever sets (6 m)
45-55 sets
Automation kits, remotes and accessories travel in the same container in cartons. Consolidating gates with aluminum french doors or metal entry doors for houses from the same factory fills the container cube without mixing suppliers.
8. Installation and Commissioning
Installation Sequence
1. Set posts: concrete footing 400 x 400 x 600 mm minimum for residential leaves; 500 x 500 x 800 mm for 6 m+ sliding beams; cure 72 h before hanging
2. Hang swing leaves on bearing hinges; set 10 mm under-clearance, check diagonal within 3 mm
3. Sliding: bolt the ground track level within 2 mm over full length, or assemble the cantilever carriage block on its own footing
4. Fit motor, rack and limit magnets; wire photocells across the drive line at 500 mm height
5. Set open/close limits, then force-test: the gate must stop and reverse on a 150 N obstruction (EN 12453)
6. Seal post bases and any wall penetrations with neutral-cure silicone; grease rack and rollers
Adjustment and Waterproofing Points
Track drainage is the most common failure on sliding installations: the track channel must fall 5 mm toward a drain point, and the drain must not discharge against the motor side. Post caps are glued, not press-fit, to keep water out of the hollow section. After 500 cycles (roughly one month of community use), re-torque the rack bolts and hinge bearings once – this single revisit removes about 80% of first-year callbacks.

When Aluminum Is the Wrong Choice
Aluminum loses on two scenarios. First, high-security perimeters that must resist sustained tool attack – a 3 mm steel bar gate delays cutting roughly 3x longer than a slat aluminum leaf; for those perimeters the security door and gate range is the correct product. Second, heritage restorations that require forged ornament, where wrought iron or cast aluminum inserts are the only acceptable look. For every other residential and community driveway, weight and corrosion math favor aluminum: a 4.5 m slat leaf at 10 kg/m2 lets a 600 kg motor do the work a 1,500 kg unit would do on iron, and the coating outlasts two repaint cycles of steel.
